NYSAMM Getting Started

NYSAMM’s purpose is to provide a collective voice for mobility professionals and practitioners, support innovative mobility solutions and collaborations, and to work with decision-makers on mobility policy issues.   Mobility providers educate communities about all available mobility options such as public transit, intercity buses, volunteer driver programs, paratransit services, other shared-ride transportation, supportive built environments, biking, trails, etc.  These professionals help seniors, persons with disabilities, low-income residents and other transportation and mobility disadvantaged individuals access jobs, interviews, support services for people with disabilities, medical appointments; address basic needs, physical and emotional needs, and social engagement.

NYSAMM currently has a Board of Directors from regions across New York State.  These individuals have been working for over a year to form the Association.  They have formed committees to plan and develop initiatives that will provide information and resources to the membership including Governance; Marketing and Outreach; Professional Development and Mentoring; and Membership.

Working together

NYSAMM wants your voice at the table.  Working together we can leverage our resources to have an even greater impact on the communities we serve, regionally, and on a state level.

How much you participate is your decision.

NYSAMM will be offering educational opportunities, a forum for networking, and sharing of resources that can help you in the work that you do.  We also encouraged you to share this information with others that are working on mobility in your area.
